3:5. ਅਤੇ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਏਲੀ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੈਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਦਿਆ। ਫੇਰ ਲੰਮਾ ਪੈ ਰਹੁ। ਸੋ ਉਹ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਲੰਮਾ ਪਿਆ

3:5. Then he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me." But Eli said, "I didn't call you. Go back and lie down." So he went back and lay down.

3:5. He got up and ran to Eli. "Here I am. Did you call me?" "I didn't call you," Eli replied. "Go back to bed." So he did.

3:5. And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.

3:5. Samuel thought Eli was calling him, so he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am. You called me." But Eli said, "I didn't call you. Go back to bed." So Samuel went back to bed.

3:5. He ran to Eli, and said, Here am I; for you called me. He said, I didn\'t call; lie down again. He went and lay down.
